Dad's NOT going!

It turns out that my Dad might not have to go to Iraq after all! He's in training right now, and they took him out to the firing range to test his shooting ability. Everyone in my family has bad eyesight, Dad one of the worst. He couldn't shoot, so they dropped him down to alternate. So right now he's safe. Mom and I are thrilled, he's a little disappointed. He's still on active duty, but he'll be keeping his old job on a base in the U.S.

I'm so relieved. I was worried sick about the job he was going to do in Iraq, because its outside of his experience and sounds dangerous. And now Mom doesn't have to have anybody coming to visit!
